The aqua-based formula uses aqueous extracts of chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), sage (Salvia officinalis), and soapwort (Saponaria officinalis) - a plant containing natural saponins that provide gentle but thorough cleansing without harsh detergents. Particularly suited to heavy-shedding double-coated breeds like Labradors, Huskies, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers and Border Collies.

Unlike conventional deshedding shampoos that often rely on sulphate-based detergents to grip the coat, this is a botanical formula pH-tested for canine skin and safe if licked. SLS and paraben free. UK-made.

How to use: wet the coat thoroughly, lather and work through with a deshedding brush during the bath to release loose, ready-to-shed hair, then rinse thoroughly. Brush again once dry. Use every 4-6 weeks during peak shedding seasons (spring and autumn); monthly outside peak. Bundle with Botanical Replenishing Deep Conditioner to restore coat hydration after deep cleansing.

How it works

Botanical Deshedding & Purifying Wash works by deeply cleansing the coat to release loose, ready-to-shed hair during the bath. Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) and sage (Salvia officinalis) are gentle botanical extracts traditionally used in coat care. Soapwort (Saponaria officinalis) contains natural saponins that provide gentle cleansing without harsh detergents. The aqueous base provides a thorough cleanse that, when combined with brushing during and after the wash, facilitates physical removal of loose hair. The formula is sulphate and paraben free.
